Benfica Soccer School’s pre-travel soccer has two programs focused on players aged 5 - 8. Both programs focus on fun and skill development and are overseen by our residential coaches from the Benfica youth academy system and our American based coaches.
League Benfica runs in the fall (Sept. - Nov.) and spring (Mar. - May). Players will be separated onto internal teams and practice twice a week with S.L. Benfica youth academy coaches and club staff. Each team will play games on Saturday afternoons through each season and local tournaments, if interested.
Practice is from 5:00 - 6:00 on Tuesday and Thursday.
Development focuses on individual ball skills and learning to play as a team.
Open to boys and girls born in 2011 and 2012. All skill levels welcomed.
Fee is $900 to include both the fall and spring season (can be broken into payments). Spring only fee is $450. Fee includes uniform and league fees. Teams playing in tournaments must cover any associated fee.
The Pequeno program is designed for players playing games for the first time. Players will practice as a group - with a heavy focus on individual skill development (and fun). Each Friday evening, players will be divided into small teams to play a series of short small sided (3v3, 4v4) games, ensuring players get lots of time on the ball.
The Pequeno season runs in the fall (Sept - Nov) and spring (Mar. - May). Pequeno players have two practice options - once a week ($600 per year) or twice a week ($900 per year). Prorated for players who join in the spring. Practice sessions will be on Monday and Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Practices and games will occur at the PG Learning Center.
All practices will be conducted by residential coaches from Benfica’s youth academy program and our American based coaches. The program is open to boys and girls of all skill levels. Fee covers all costs associated with the program and include a uniform.
